How do you Deal with Disruptive Students?
Some students try to monopolize discussions. They relentlessly ask questions, blurt out rude comments, interject their personal and irrelevant thoughts, and unbearably annoy you and your other students. So, what do you do?
I have shared several bits of advice in prior articles. However, I realize that some of you may think my advice is for the birds. (For my readers who are not familiar with this idiom, that means worthless.) So, here is my pictorial lesson that is, most definitely, FOR THE BIRDS.
Do you have a student who is a BIRD BRAIN? (Another American idiom meaning really, really stupid.) This may not be an appropriate way to react, but don’t you wish it were?
